Lever / lever handle
The standard pairing on a multipoint lock. Lift the lever to throw the hooks, turn the key to deadlock.

Bar handle
A long pull handle, 1200mm or 1800mm, fitted to the outside with a lever inside. The contemporary choice.

Kitemarked TS007 3 star, Sold Secure Diamond. It locks down a second time if anyone attacks it. Worth the upgrade every time.

Finishes
Which finish, and when
Mixing finishes on one door looks like a mistake even when it is deliberate. Pick one and use it for the handle, the letterplate, the knocker and the numerals.
Chrome
Bright and reflective. The default, and the least expensive.
Satin chrome
Brushed, softer, and far better at hiding fingerprints.
Black
Matt black. The right answer on cottage and heritage designs.
Polished brass
Warm and traditional. Needs a period door to carry it.
Antique brass
Darker, aged brass for stone and older properties.
Gold
Brighter than brass. Use sparingly and only on dark colours.
White
Disappears against a white door. Practical rather than decorative.
One upgrade worth taking
The cylinder is not decoration
Every other item on this page is about how the door looks. The cylinder is the only one that decides whether the door does its job.
Cylinder snapping is how composite doors actually get opened. A standard euro cylinder can be defeated in seconds by somebody who has watched a video. A TS007 3 star anti-snap cylinder, such as an Ultion, is designed to break in a controlled way and lock down harder when it is attacked.
It is the cheapest meaningful upgrade in the whole configurator, and it is the one we would insist on if it were our own house.
