Why we exist

The door industry is exhausting

Buying a front door in this country usually involves filling in a form, waiting for a phone call, agreeing to a home visit, sitting through a presentation, and receiving a price with a discount attached that expires at the end of the evening. None of that has anything to do with doors.

Meanwhile every fitter in the country buys the same doors on a trade account, in about four minutes, from a configurator on their phone, for a fraction of the number the homeowner was quoted.

DoorDeals is that experience, opened up. Same manufacturers, same doors, same configurator, same prices, available to anybody who wants one. If you fit doors for a living you already know how this works. If you do not, you now get the same deal.

The pricing

We are not a manufacturer, and we do not pretend to be.

DoorDeals holds trade accounts with Door-Stop and Solidor. They build the doors, we handle everything else, and we add a modest fixed margin on top of the trade price. That is the whole business model, and we would rather you knew it.

  • One price, for everyoneThere is no trade tier and no retail tier. A fitter buying fifty doors a year and a homeowner buying one see the same number.
  • A fixed margin, not a percentageWe add a flat amount to the manufacturer's trade price. On a more expensive door that means a smaller percentage, not a bigger one.
  • The price on screen is the priceVAT and mainland delivery are included in every figure you see. Nothing appears at checkout that was not there at the start.
  • No discount theatreWe do not run a permanent sale, inflate a 'was' price or email you a code an hour after you leave. It is tiring and it is not how a serious business prices.
Finished composite door slabs racked inside a British manufacturing facility

Every door is built to order in Britain. Nothing is held in stock, which is why the lead time is real and the price is honest.

How we choose suppliers

Two manufacturers, and a high bar for a third

We are not trying to list every door in Britain. We are trying to list the ones we would fit ourselves.

Made in Britain

Not an imported slab put into a British frame. The whole door set is manufactured here, to your sizes, which is why it fits and why the lead time is what it is.

A real guarantee, from a real company

A ten year guarantee is worth exactly as much as the company standing behind it. Both our manufacturers have been building doors for decades and will still be there in year nine.

Consistency over novelty

The most valuable thing a manufacturer can offer is doors that turn up right, week after week. That matters far more than a range with sixty designs in it.

What is next

What we are building towards

Being honest about the roadmap is more useful than pretending everything already exists.

  • Aluminium doors

Slim sightlines and large glazed panels for contemporary properties.

  • Fire doors

FD30 certified door sets for landlords and managing agents.

  • Trade accounts

Not for better pricing, which you already have, but for consolidated delivery and priority slots.

  • Saved designs and a customer dashboard

So you can price three doors, save them, and come back next week.

  • Finance

Spreading the cost on a larger order.

  • An installer network

Vetted fitters, so supply only stops being the only option.

Talk to us

There is a phone number on every page

It goes to somebody who knows doors, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. We would rather spend ten minutes talking you out of the wrong door than sell you one you regret, because a bespoke door cannot be returned and an unhappy customer costs far more than a sale is worth.

Ring 0330 043 0100, or email hello@door-deals.co.uk.
